Library is not for nerds only

OK, I know that it sounds odd for you to hang out with friends at the library especially after you're not schooling anymore and are not in college yet. But I just did so today with Shahrul and Ehsan. If you guys wanna say, "Hang out at the library? Nerd giler!!", than just say so. I don't care. I like going to the library. It's so quiet and peaceful and has lots of books. Well, actually yesterday we went to the library cuz Ehsan and Shahrul asked me to help them with the MARA scholarship essay.

This morning I went to my mom's boutique cuz her worker stopped and the new worker is gonna start working like maybe a week or two from now. So, I had to be her worker for a while. And I'm not payed for doing so. Sob Sob:( Ehsan came to the boutique to accompany me at 4.00pm. After that at 4.30pm, we went to Perpustakaan Tun Uda aka Library Shah Alam and met up with Shahrul there. It's been a long time since I last went to the library. The last time I went there was exactly 7 days before SPM with Arvie, Syahir, Ehsan, Hafiy, Shahrul and Saddiq. We even took pictures there. Study + pictures = effective learning. LOL. We played around with Shahrul's hoody that day cuz it's cold and he's the only one with a hoody.

Shell Scholarship

This evening, Ehsan, Shahrul and Akmal came to my place to complete the Shell Scholarship application stuff. Seriously, the application is so difficult to be completed. You have to upload CV, scan your result, scan your picture, scan your parents' slip gaji and many more. Luckily I completed mine long ago. I helped them up and it's finally completed. The cloding date is tomorrow, so it's better if we submit it today. Don't wanna drag the work till the 11th hour. Walawee, berbunga bahasa aku. LOL.

Then, I went to the basketball court and told Acap that I was fooling him around yesterday. LOL.

And just now, Nabil texted me and said that the Petronas Scholarship program application result has came out. I checked my status and it says that I'm being called for the Educamp and interview program this 11th-12th April at UTP, Tronoh. Alhamdulillah. We have to stay at UPT for a night. Syahir and Ayie got it too. Me and Syahir planned to go there using Ayie's car since he invited us to ride with him. Syahir was so exited cuz he thinks that this Educamp is like a summer camp. LOL. And we planned to go togather to make it feel like a roadtrip:P I'm excited too. Can't wait for this Saturday. But I rasa agak kecewa la cuz tak dapat pegi my sis punya sports day at SMKBJ this Sunday. I told this girl I knew from myspace that I wanna meet her at the sports day but I guess I can't do so cuz I had this Educamp.

Prank Prank

Today I was suppose to go to the Sepang Circuit to watch F1. But I changed my mind all of a sudden and asked my dad to go instead. It's not like I don't want the experience of watching F1 live, it's just that I'll be all alone there if I go to watch it. None of my friend are there. All my dad's friends are gonna be there. I don't wanna seat with them. It's better if I let my dad enjoy with his friends instead.

So, this evening I went to eat lunch (at 4.00pm) at Restaurant TTDI. While waiting for the food, I texted Acap saying that I'm at the Sepang Circuit. He didn't know that I didn't went to the circuit. I forgot to tell him that I'm not going. I was about to text him saying that I didn't go there but I turned it into a prank instead. I told him that I was with Ayie there. And I also told him that I took a picture with Ana Ivanovic and Ayie saw Adriana Lima there. He fell for all of it. LOLXD Layan giler prank Acap. The prank goes on until the next day.

To Fasya: That RM1400 was the Iphone 2G la. Not the 3G. Cheapest 3G yg i pernah tengok RM2200 kat Shah Alam Mall.

To Izura: The US currency was 2.8 last year and at the beginning of this year. But now dah naek balik up to 3.56 if I'm not mistaken. But it's around 3.5 la. But pound da jatuh sampai 5.1.

Fast and Furious 4

Today at 12.30 I picked up Ehsan and Syahir at Subang Parade and we head off to SP. We bought tickets to watch Fast & Furious 4 at 3.45pm. Actually we wanted to buy the 2.30pm ticket but we had to sit far apart from each other cuz there's not much seats left. It was 1.20pm at that time and we had not had our lunch, so we ate at Wendy's. Seriously, tak sedap makanan kat Wendy's. The potato macam ntah pape je. Then, we laughed at the ice-skaters falling around in the ring. Lawak giler tengok orang2 gemok jatuh. Dah jatuh then bila nak bangun jatuh lagi. LOL. Sedap je aku kutuk orang lain. Aku ni ice-skating pon tak pernah try.

Then, we prayed Zohor and searched for iPhones. I wanna buy iPhone so much but it's too expensive. There's this shop which sells an iPhone 2G with 8gb memory for RM1550 which was cheap. I told my mom and she said that my dad's friend is going to USA soon and it might be cheaper there.

Then, we went into the cinema. After we took our seats, the movie starts. What a good timing. The movie starts 5 seconds after we took our seats. But actually, we took the wrong seats. Our seat was K20-K22. We sat at M20-M22. Salah baca. Malu je bila orang tu cakap yg tu seat dia. LOL.

The movie was really good. Vin Diesel rocks in the movie. The racing and stunts were awesome. I gave it a 4.5/5. The only thing I dislikes about the movie is that there's no exotic machines. All they have were old school cars which were modified. I was expecting some Lamborghini or Ferrari or even Porsche in it. If the cars were nice, I would have gave it a perfect 5/5. But, I don't blame the producer for the old school rides. There are plenty of destructive stunts in the movie. It'll be very costly for them to crash a Lamborghini.

After the movie, we jalan-jalan a lil and I went to Nike, Adidas and Studio R to search for a hoodie but none of em attracts me. At 6.30pm, we took a bus to Subang Parade. We lepak at Roti Boy from 6.45 til 7.45. Then, we prayed Maghrib and Syahir's dad picked us up and sent us home.

Back home, my dad said that he had a blast at Sepang today. And guess what? I found out that they're selling iPhone 3G, 8gb at 399USD (around RM1400 only) in US. I'm so gonna ask my dad's friend to buy me one when he go to US.

Sambal Sambal

Today Syahir picked me, Ehsan and Hazim up for lunch at her sister's cafe called Sambal Sambal. It's located at the shop lots in front of Subang Parade. It's a new cafe. Just opened for about a week. The food there was nice. Sedap giler. The specialities there are the Sambal, Nasi Lemak and Soto. We get to eat for free just now cuz kakak Syahir belanja. Everyone, please try dining at this cafe. I'm promoting the cafe aite here. Nanti kakak Syahir bagi commission:P

So, here's the funny part of the day. When Syahir picked us up, he drove an Atos. Actualy we wanted to play badminton after lunch, so we brought along our stuffs and leaved it in the car during lunch. After lunch, we lepak at Subang Parade for 20 minutes. We went to Lee Chong Wei's shop there. The shop's name is QOOL. He sells handphones and iPods there. Then, we wanted to head back to Kemuncak. Syahir said that he's gonna drive his mom's Kompressor to Kemuncak. We told him that we left our stuffs in his Atos. When we got back to the parking spot, the Atos was not there. Guess what? His sis drove the Atos to Putrajaya already. My shoes and sports attire was in that car. So was Hazim's and Ehsan's stuffs including racket and shuttlecocks. I was wearing jeans and Syahir's size 11 flip-flops at that time. BTW, Syahir wore size 8 but he accidentally bought a size 11 Quicksilver flops. So I borrowed it for a while cuz I don't wanna wear my shoes during lunch at that time.

At Kemuncak, William, Jason, Tan and some juniours of ours were there too. We (me, Ehsan and Hazim) played badminton barefooted. I was wearing jeans and barefooted at that time. Punya la susah nak main badminton tak pakai kasut. Sakit giler kaki. Nak gerak kaki pon susah sbb pakai jeans. But me & Hazim almost defeated Syahir & Ehsan in a double game. The score was 13-15. Although we didn't win, it was a big satisfaction for us to actually baing able to close up the gap. Me & Hazim just played badminton for like a year. Syahir & Ehsan had been playing since primary school. So of course they're better than us.

Then, my mom picked us (us=me, Hazim, Ehsan) up from Kemuncak and went back home. We planned to go out again tomorrow to SP to watch Fast and Furious 4. Vin Diesel is in the movie. That dude rocks.

That night my dad gave me a present. A grandstand F1 ticket. He got it from his company. But it's only for one person. So, we'll take turns watching it since it's a 2 days ticket. He'll go on Saturday (tomorrow) and I'll go on Sunday.

JPA interview

I forgot to tell you guys in my previous post that I have JPA scholarship interview today. I woke up for Subuh and got back to sleep and woke up at 9.00am since my JPA interview starts at 2.00pm.

At 12.00pm, me and my dad head off to Putrajaya. We ate lunch at Nando's under the mosque and prayed at the mosque lepas makan. After solat, we head off to PICC, where the interview will be held. It was already 1.45 at that time. So, I had to change into my formal clothes in the car. Imagine having to strip and put on formal clothes. Susah jugak la. But I managed to do so. Once we reached PICC, it's exactly 2.00pm. I got off the car and straight away tucked in my shirt besides the car. Nobody was there, so i think nobody saw me tucking in my shirt. Kalau ada yang nampak malu je. LOL. After that, I walked into PICC and registered my name. I was the 2nd group to be interviewed. I was so relieved cuz I don't have to wait for so long to be interviewed.

After 40 minutes of waiting, the reception lady told me that they had to push my name into the 3rd group cuz there's this one dude who needed to go to Singapore ASAP. He was in the 4th group but he was placed in the 2nd group for that reason. WTF!!? Why did my name got pushed to the 3rd group. BODOH GILER..! Kene tunggu lagi lama. Siot je. While waiting, I met a few friends from SASER. I met Fadhil and Lee Man Ken. I also met Faiek, a girl whom I knew via Myspace for 2 years. Didn't expect to meet each other for the first time by coincident there.

After hours of waiting, finally it's my turn. Nervous la jugak masa nak masuk bilik interview tu. It was a group interview. A group consists of 5 candidates and there were 3 interviewers in the room. I was the first in the group to be interviewed. The first question was 'Tell me about yourself'. We're allowed to use either English or BM in this question. I chose to speak in English since I'm more comfortable being interviewed in English. It's not like I'm a full-time English speaking type of guy but I felt comfortable to speak in English in a formal occasion. Most of the time I'll speak in BM. I speak BM at home and with friends (except for some friends who are English spoken). My English sometimes teruk jugak. Besides, I'm applying for oversea scholarship program. So, it's better to impress the interviewers with good English so that they're convinced with your capability to live in an English spoken community aite?

The second question was 'What's your opinion on the importance of Facebook, Friendster etc. towards teenagers?'. We must use English in this one. I gave a few solid points and they were convinced by my answer. i even put in the example of my meeting with Faiek earlier on. It's a prove that we could make more friends via personal web page. The interviewers were laughing when I told them the incident.

The final question was a discussion among candidates. We had to discuss on the topic 'Pembaziran sember alam semakin menjadi-jadi. Apakah langkah yang Malaysia boleh lakukan untuk menangani masalah ini?'. In this discussion, we must speak in BM. It's a bit tough for me cuz I'm not really use to speaking BM so formally. But I did OK. My experience living in Japan for 2 months when I was in form 3 and form 4 helped me to give out good points too. But sedih jugak la cuz I'm the only one who could speak English fluently in my group. The rest macam tersekat-sekat masa guna English. Kesian dorang. During the self introduction part where we are allowed to use either BM or English, I was the only one to introduce myself in English. It's not that I'm bragging aite here that I'm good. It's just that I felt sorry for them. Hope that they all suceed.

After everything was over, we got out of the room. I really hope that I'll get this scholarship. I think I did well but we'll never know if there are many others who did better than I do. Nampak ramai gak muka cam pandai-pandai.

After we got out of PICC, my dad asked me to drive the Accord home cuz he was lazy to drive. 1st time drive from Putrajaya back home. Best giler drive laju-laju. Masa kat highway I was driving at 130km/h. WEEEE~~

April is NOT fool..!

I don't do any prank on anyone today. To Muslims, celebrating April Fool is haram. Why I said so? Have you ever wonder why we prank others and make them look like a fool on 1st of April? It's because on April 1st few hundreds or maybe a thousand years ago, we Muslims were defeated by the Jahilliah because we were fooled by their trick. They won big in this one. As a celebration, they invented the stupid April Fool tradition. I heard this fact from my Ustazah a few years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This morning around 11.00am, me and Ehsan went to school for pengesahan sijil for interview purpose later on. Then, the clerk asked us to leave our documens at the office and pick it back up at 4.30pm cuz the principal was at a meeting. We went home and picked up the documents in the evening. That's all for the story of the day.
