Allah's Name Issue

Hey guys.
It's been a while since I post something new.

A few days ago our nation had been astounded by the arson of three churches around KL. It all started because some of the Muslims disagreed with the court's decision of allowing the non-Muslim to use Allah's name. Well, I'm not a Muslim scholar, but I do have knowledge about this religion since I, myself am a Muslim. From my opinion, the use of Allah's name for the purpose of mocking is entirely unacceptable. The use of Allah's name to name other God is also unacceptable. Reason for this is that some people might get confused about religions. If more than one religion use the name Allah to indicate their God, does this means that all religions worships the same God?

In the context of Islam, Allah is our only God. And it is stated in The Holy Quran:

"Say O Muhammad (pbuh): O disbeliever of Allah. I worship not that which you worship. Nor will you worship that which I worship. And I shall not worship that which you are worshiping. Nor will you worship that which I worship. To you be your religion and to me my religion."
[Al-Kafirun-109: 1-6]

This verse clearly states that Islam is not the same as any other religion. And other religion should not use the name Allah to indicate their God as it might cause some of the Muslims to go astray his or her religion.

However, I am very disappointed by those fools who set fire on the three churches around KL. This is act is unacceptable and was even close to the teaching of Islam. In the Islamic teaching, we Muslims must protect any worship houses of any religion if they are assaulted. And how could some foolish Muslims burn down churches? If they call themselves good Muslims, how could they not follow Allah's teaching? Islam teaches us to respect other religion. Violence are never the best way to solve any conflict. And I am very disappointed of those who burned down the churches. They do not represent us, Muslims in any way. By them doing such act, they are sending messages to the non-Muslims especially those in the Western countries that Islam is a religion who promotes violence. By them doing so, they are actually giving bad impression of Islam. How could you say that you love your religion if you're actually making other religions think that we are terrorist?

WHAT THE F**K?

Don't you guys have brains?

As civilized people, let us all respect each other and spread peace to the world. Violence has not, is not and never will be the way to solve any conflict.

That's all for now. Later...

  1. I understand where you're coming from as a Muslim.

About the torching of the churches, yes I agree that it has went way overboard.
The court case is still pending.
Nothing can be resolved with the torching of the churches.
And it is a true misrepresentation of Malaysian Muslims.
Due to a handful of rotten apples, the whole Malaysia is now misrepresented.
    I truly understand your frustrations.
I maybe not be a Muslim, but I do not discard the fact that we all share one thing in common, we are all Malaysians. :)

    Cheers bro!

  2. Respect other religion if you want others to respect your religion.

All is fine with you quoting your Quran and say Islam is NOT the same as other religion, that no other religion should use Allah to refer to their God.

And the argument is Muslims may confuse your so called real Allah with the fake Allah. Say, are you referring to real Muslims who recite AND study and understand the Quran, or you are just referring to ignorant Muslims who just recite and quote Quran verses WITHOUT understanding the meaning?

And by the way, even if I were to step into your shoes, and see things from your perspective, I STILL cannot understand the logic of banning other religion from using the word Allah.
The way you are arguing seems to point to the fact that Islam in Malaysia is supreme, and other religions does not matter. Else how would you defend your stand that Islam states that no other religion can use the word Allah, and other religions have to follow? What if it is the other way round? Other religion banning something for Muslims?

Remember, what you believe MAY NOT be what other religion believes. If we believe in the Quran, we will ALL be Muslims. You CAN'T IMPOSE your faith unto other religions.

Stop acting like a bully. Grow up, especially in your faith. A mere word SHOULD NOT lead you astray if you have faith.

I apologise if I sounded harsh. Sometimes, we just need to be jolted from our comfort zone and face the reality. My opinion is Muslims in Malaysia are too protected by authorities in Malaysia, and they are led to think that their religion is supreme. This is different from what the constitution states. Islam is the official religion, not supreme religion.

  4. U cannot expect every Muslims to have a strong hold of their religion. There are some Muslims who have very weak hold and knowledge about their religion. Therefore, we must not confuse those people.

And I did not mention that the other religion is not important and have I no intention to do so. What I'm trying to point out is that every religion have to respect one another. Why use the name Allah when Christian's God was never named Allah in the Bible? Why do something that will offend other religion? And had there been anything that other religion ban for Muslim that we've abused so far in Malaysia? If there is then please tell me.

I've long been jolted out from my comfort zone. I first disagree about this banning issue until I further read about it.

  5. Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this blog. It's simple, yet
effective. A lot of times it's difficult to get that "perfect balance" between usability and visual appeal. I must say you have done a excellent job with this. Also, the blog loads super quick for me on Internet explorer. Outstanding Blog!
